PacRim’s roots trace back to Silicon Valley in 2000, when our founders began exploring ways to make manufacturing more efficient for growing tech companies. Originally known as “Quickfab,” the focus was on connecting customers with machining suppliers who could deliver faster than the industry norm. As markets shifted and price competition became critical, Quickfab expanded into offshore manufacturing and new processes like injection molding.
By 2006, Quickfab had joined forces with ProSourcing to form PacRim Manufacturing. This new entity was built on strong supplier partnerships in China and a commitment to helping U.S. customers navigate offshore manufacturing with confidence. Early programs centered on plastics and moldmaking but quickly grew more complex as customer needs expanded.
The growing demand for larger and more technical programs brought new expertise into the company. PacRim broadened its scope to include machining, casting, extrusion, electronics, and electromechanical assembly. Investments in supplier development and program management created a foundation for scaling both volume and capability.
Recognizing the need for more resilient supply chains, PacRim expanded beyond China to include additional regions across Asia, Central America, and North America. This gave customers options to reduce risk while still accessing high-quality, cost-competitive manufacturing. Over this time, PacRim solidified long-term customer partnerships — many lasting more than a decade — by consistently delivering quality, on-time results.
Now more than 25 years strong, PacRim is a global manufacturing partner with engineering teams in the U.S. and in-region supplier development support worldwide. From low-volume production to programs exceeding 500,000 assemblies annually, our focus remains the same: to deliver products on time, in spec, with no excuses and no surprises.
